Jacob Skeen brings a high-performance mindset and a genuine, people-centred approach to Bayleys South Auckland Commercial team, specialising in Industrial Sales and Leasing.

After a successful professional rugby career - including playing for the Māori All Blacks and seven years with the Black Rams in Tokyo - Jacob has transitioned into real estate to channel his drive, discipline, and team-first ethos into helping clients achieve their goals. His background in high-performance sport has shaped his approach: meticulous preparation, resilience under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to delivering on promises.

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Management Studies with a double major in Marketing and Strategic Management from Waikato University. This academic foundation strengthens his understanding of business needs and effective communication - skills that complement his practical, solutions-focused mindset.

Drawn to the industrial sector for its dynamic, fast-moving nature, Jacob thrives on solving the “puzzle” each property presents, whether it’s unlocking potential in an underused asset or matching a business with the right site for growth. He values Bayleys’ strong reputation in the industrial space and their culture of collaboration and long-term relationships - values that mirror his own approach to client service.

Beyond work, Jacob is a devoted family man, proud father to a two-year-old daughter with another child on the way. He’s passionate about personal growth, fitness, and the outdoors, whether he’s running trails, surfing, or exploring with his family. Jacob is also committed to his community, having coached rugby at various levels and supported organisations such as Cure Kids, Harbour Hospice, and Big Buddy.

A firm believer in lifelong learning and building genuine relationships, Jacob treats every conversation as an opportunity to listen, learn, and add value. Clients can expect an advisor who is approachable, prepared, and fully invested in their success - just as he was for every team he’s been part of.
