When I first immigrated from Korea to New Zealand in 2013, everything felt unfamiliar — a country I needed to learn how to navigate and grow into. But everything changed in 2017 when I purchased my first home. From that moment, New Zealand no longer felt “new.” It began to feel like home. That experience taught me something lasting: real estate is never just a transaction — it’s deeply personal, shaping how we live, where we belong, and how we build our future. Real estate has also always been close to me through my family background in Korea, so it’s an industry I’ve naturally been drawn to for a long time. My professional career began in the clothing and textile industry. Building on that foundation, I spent nearly six years at Kathmandu working across sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing. That role strengthened my analytical mindset — working with spreadsheets, understanding supply and demand, and making clear, detail-driven decisions. Alongside this, I supported my husband’s hospitality business for two years, where I developed hands-on customer service skills and learned the value of genuine, long-term relationships. During that time, I realised how much I missed having a career that felt truly my own. Now I’m stepping into the career I’ve been working toward for years. Just as property became a turning point in my own life, I believe it can hold deep meaning for others as well. I would be honoured to contribute — thoughtfully, reliably, and with care.
