The property market has been of interest to Shem since he secured his first investment property with his siblings in his mid-twenties. He has since amassed considerable expertise in watching how the market changes, adapting and finding niche opportunities for his clients. In his real estate career Shem has spent years working in a specialised real estate development team, selling down developments and new builds. This saw him assisting developers from the initial stages of going to market with new listings, including pricing strategies and pricing feedback, and selling off plan new builds. He worked with both established investors to add high yield properties to their portfolios across Auckland and helped first time investors begin to build their portfolios. Prior to real estate Shem worked in the Auckland direct sales team at MediaWorks - one of New Zealand’s largest media companies. His role, along with managing well established clients, involved prospecting and uncovering new business, working with business owners, listening and asking the right questions to uncover their goals, then advising on how to achieve these using a pragmatic approach, experience and creativity. Hugely driven, Shem thrives on getting the deal done for his clients. Working with vendors to find the right buyer and hunting for new tenants. Knowledge is key and Shem works extremely closely with his team, so clients benefit from a combined knowledge base of experts. Shem operates with a calm, solid and straightforward approach. This gives him the ability to find solutions where others may get flustered and falter.
